Ingredients
Method To Assemble
- Mix MOKUREN / Genmaicha powder & water until fully dissolved.
- Separate egg white & yolk in a different bowl.
- Preferably using a hand mixer, beat egg white & sugar until stiff peaks.
- In the bowl with yolk, mix in the genmaicha liquid, milk & oil. After mixing the wet ingredients, add rice flour and mix well.
- Using the spatula, gently fold the egg white into the yolk batter until fully combined. Do not use any whisking method on this step.
- Grease the container of your choice before fill in the batter. Cover the container with foil paper. Put it into the pot after the water starts to boil. Steam it for 10mins with low heat. And yes it’s ready to serve!!
Notes:
- You may use an electric steamer or any pot steamer on gas stove.
- This recipe can be used for oven bake as well. Just preheat the oven & bake it with 180C for 8-10mins(depends on the oven size)
