Your tagline mentions your recipes are 70% healthy and 30% indulgent — how did your journey with food start?
Everything started ever since the pandemic. My makeup career totally stopped. Instead of continuing to feel stressful and depressed, I decided to heal myself with food. I started to create my own ritual of life by cooking, taking photos, videos and recipe-sharing on my IG account. Most of my posts are about my healthy daily eats. Sometimes I do indulge myself with my favorite foods too. That’s why my tagline mentioned 70% healthy and 30% indulgent.

Any tips to your viewers on living a health-conscious life?
There is such a strong connection between happiness and food. Healthy eating can be fun and creative, but don't forget to indulge yourself with your favorite food every now and then. Be happy and wise with the food choices you make. You deserve to nourish your body with the nutrients it needs to lead a healthy life.

How did you come up with Coconut Matcha Yam Latte recipe?
I have some left over yam paste while making the Healthy Wakoucha Yam Cake Recipe, so I decided to try out to use it for drinks.

How did you find using AJISAI / Matcha powder for the recipe?
The high umaminess and creaminess of AJISAI / Matcha blends very well with the coconut milk and yam. Every sip is full of satisfaction.

RECIPE

Coconut Matcha Yam Latte

Serves 1 glass
Prep time: 10 mins
Total time: 10 mins

Ingredients

70g Yam Paste
100g Fresh Milk
50g Coconut Milk
5g or 1 Tbsp AJISAI / Matcha Powder
15ml Condensed Milk 
50ml hot water
Ice cubes


Method To Assemble

  1. Mix AJISAI / Matcha powder with hot water and condensed milk using YUKIWA / Hand Mixer until smooth and no lumps.
  2. Froth the fresh milk with coconut milk with the hand mixer to get a smooth texture.
  3. Get a glass and fill in Yam Paste.
  4. Add in ice cube and pour in the frothed milk.
  5. Lastly add in the matcha liquid and enjoy!
