On June 16th, 2017, Kens Apothecary and Niko Neko Matcha has collaborated to conduct a Matcha Detox + Mixology Session together with invited guests in conjunction with the product launch of Grown Alchemist: Detox Serum Antioxidant+3 Complex.

Kens Apothecary is a luxury outlet that proactively brought in cult skincare brands never before seen in Malaysia. Brands like T.Leclerc, Creed and Annick Goutal, Laura Mercier were successfully introduced and have since evolved into household names when it comes to niche luxury labels here.

Kens Apothecary again impressed the world of luxury skincare by launching their new product line by Grown Alchemist: Detox Serum Antioxidant+3 Complex. Grown Alchemist is a new generation of organic skincare formulations comprising of natural technologies that have revolutionised the traditional approach to anti-acing skincare, body and hair care.

Grown Alchemist: Detox Serum Antioxidant+3 Complex main function is to detoxifies skin from free radicles, while one of the main health benefits of Niko Neko Matcha is to detoxify body by removing harmful toxins and for cleansing of body from the inside. The combination of these two brands under Detox theme is an ideal collaboration.

Some of the guests who are specially invited to celebrate the new product launch are Jane Chuck, Ashley Lau, Nana Bwincess, Lucas Lau, Mon Lee, Syada Amzah and others.

The event starts with the introduction of Grown Alchemist: Detox Serum Antioxidant+3 Complex by Hubert Hoi, the operation manager of KENS APOTHECARY, followed by the explanation alongside testing of the product with the guests. After the introduction and product testing, guests were guided through our Matcha stations starting with The Brewing Bar, The Mixology Bar and The Dessert Bar.

At Brewing Bar, guests were briefed on the history of Matcha tea, the basic principle of Matcha, the health benefits of Matcha tea and how it works as a very powerful Detox agent. Guests were guided on how to prepare pure matcha tea the traditional way, aided by traditional tea tools, instructed by Syun Hattori.

At Mixology Station, guests were introduced to modern approach of brewing matcha beverages through mixology. With self-brewed Matcha tea at Brewing Bar, guests were taught and inspired to do mixology by mixing Matcha tea with varieties of fruit concentrates and puree such as Peach, Lychee and Mango and finished with garnishings.

At Dessert Bar, guests were further exposed to another dimension of taking matcha through dessert and pastries. They were served with Matcha Mango Crumble Loaf by Cake jalan tiung and Matcha Granola by Granola Geeks to give them more ideas on how matcha can be utilized into.

In our Matcha appreciation workshop, we do not limit and will always emphasize on countless ways of utilizing Matcha while keeping the tradition and profile intact. We believe that something as delicate as Matcha deserves appreciation and attention as much as a goddess.
