RECIPE
Genmai-chazuke (Japanese Steeped Rice)

Ingredients
1 ½tsp MOKUREN / Genmaicha powder
200ml water
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp Mirin (optional)
1 bowl of Japanese sushi rice
Baked salted salmon (chopped)
Furikake
Method To Assemble
- Combine genmaicha powder, water, salt and mirin and bring it to boil. Pour the soup into a teapot and put aside.
- Serve cooked japanese rice in a bowl and place chopped salmon on top. Other topping suggestion can be used based on your own preference such as mushroom, chicken and egg.
- Sprinkle some furikake on top.
- Pour over the genmaicha until it covers half of the rice. Add soy sauce if you prefer stronger flavour.
