As an interactive multimedia designer, Nicole's keen eye for visuals is translated into baking, one of her recent pastime pursuits that she picked up during the Movement Control Order (MCO). Since the reignition of her passion in baking and a bread-lover herself, she started to create her own recipes such as breads, desserts and drinks. Her recipes a must-try for anyone who wants to learn, as they are simple, down-to-earth and achieves that deliciously eye-catching result.

RECIPE
Houjicha European Bread

Ingredients
441g Bread flour
2 tsp TSUBAKI / Houjicha powder
11g Salt
20g Sugar
2 tsp Instant Dry yeast
315ml Warm water
35ml Oil
Method To Assemble
- Mix warm water, sugar and yeast, cover up and wait for 10 min.
- Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix into a uniform dough.
- Use hands to form a round bread dough and place on a floured baking sheet. Cover the dough with a towel and let rise at a warm place for 40 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- When the bread is risen, use a knife for carvings (if you wish) and place the bread in the middle rack of the oven.
