Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes 16 cookies
Preparation time: 45 minutes
Baking time: 12-14 minutes
Ingredients
120g (1/2 cup) butter
150g (3/4 cup) sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup AP flour
2-3 tsp YURI / Matcha powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Method To Assemble
- Preheat oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add butter, sugar and salt to a bowl and cream together with a mixer.
- Add egg and vanilla and mix until just combined.
- Mix the dry ingredients (flour, YURI / Matcha powder, baking soda) and add to the wet ingredients.
- Add the dark chocolate chips and fold in.
- Chill your batter in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 12 - 14 minutes, until the cookies are starting to turn golden. Don’t overcrowd your baking sheets, you might need to bake a few trays!
- Remove from the oven and let it cool before eating!!
