RECIPE
Three-Layer Matcha Latte with Dalgona Candy
by @nicoleyong93
Ingredients
Three-layer Matcha
2 tsp REN / Matcha powder
80ml Almond milk (or other milk)
80ml Water
1 cup of Espresso
Ice cubes
Dalgona candy
50g White sugar
½tsp Baking soda
Method To Assemble
- Melt the sugar with continuous stirring in medium heat. When it starts melting, turn the heat to low until the sugar melts off completely.
- Add in baking soda and stir until it turns into a coffee caramel colour and then turn off the heat.
- Pour over baking mat and let it cool completely.
- Crush the Dalgona candy into smaller pieces and put aside.
- In a glass, add in some ice cubes.
- Whisk REN / Matcha powder with 5 tbsp of water evenly and pour into the glass.
- Add in almond milk and water. (Water is used to dilute almond milk so it doesn't overpower the matcha)
- Place crushed Dalgona candy on top.
- Pour over the espresso and it's ready to serve.
